What is MARI®?
Mandala Assessment Research Instrument, MARI®, is a research-based tool using symbols and colour to explore what is going on with our psychological and emotional state in relation to our developmental stages at the present moment. MARI® is based on the Jungian approach and formulated by Art Therapist, Joan Kellogg.
What we do?
In the individual session, you are invited to create a free drawing with a circle, mandala (Sanskrit for circle). Besides reviewing the drawn mandala and exploring meanings, you will pick symbol cards, match with colours and visualise your choice of cards on the MARI board, the Great Round. Our certified MARI® practitioner will walk you through the process, explore the meaning from the drawn mandala, and the readings from the symbols and colour you have picked.
What’s in it for me?
The assessment process facilitates your self-understanding for personal growth. The process works with both your conscious and unconscious mind to explore possibilities and lead you to reach fuller potential through the creative process.
How does it work?
One-on-one session is 1 hour and the format can be in-person or online. Full version of MARI will be used for the analysis and a written report in English will be provided. For the group session, mini-MARI will be used to ensure sufficient time for sharing and discussion among group members. Group session is 1.5 hours and the format is in-person to leverage group dynamics.
